Pliant builds corporate payment infrastructure and operates as a licensed Electronic Money Institution (EMI), issuing Visa cards to businesses across more than 30 countries. Its platform is designed to help companies streamline payment processes and manage corporate finances, and is used by over 4,000 businesses. The company serves sectors including travel, fleet management, corporate payments and financial services, and maintains offices in Berlin, London, Paris and Helsinki.

The product set is modular and API-first, built to scale across complex payment landscapes. This spans payment processing, card issuing and the software layer that connects them, combining the rigour required of a regulated financial institution with the speed of a startup engineering organisation. The team includes fintech veterans and payment experts.

Engineering is organised around cross-functional squads of engineers, product managers and operations specialists who work together from product discovery through to deployment.
