National Center on Sexual Exploitation

A 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 1962, NCOSE works to end sexual exploitation through research, litigation, corporate advocacy and public policy in the US and globally.

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation founded in 1962, with roots in earlier advocacy groups including Morality in Media and Operation Yorkville. It works to address the full spectrum of sexual exploitation through four core strategies: research, litigation, corporate advocacy and public policy. Its operations span the United States, at both national and state level, as well as a global network of advocates.

Its Law Center pursues legal action against sexual exploitation, while its Research Institute conducts research on sexual abuse and exploitation. Corporate advocacy is exercised in part through the Dirty Dozen List, an annual publication highlighting entities deemed to facilitate sexual exploitation. On the policy side, the organisation reports more than 100 policy victories since 2010, working on a bipartisan basis.

NCOSE leads the Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation (CESE), a global network of collaborating advocates, and hosts the annual CESE Global Summit to bring activists together. The organisation describes its approach as multi-faceted and interdisciplinary, combining legal, research, corporate and legislative work.
