LGT is an international private banking and asset management group, owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, working in digital banking, Avaloq core platforms and systematic investing.

LGT Bank AG, Zweigniederlassung Österreich, is the Austrian branch of LGT, an international private banking and asset management group serving high and ultra-high net worth clients. The group was founded in 1920 - formerly as Liechtenstein Global Trust - and employs approximately 6,000 people across more than 40 locations in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, with its roots in Liechtenstein. Client assets under management stand at CHF 386.1 billion.

Technology work within the group spans digital banking, systematic investment processes grounded in modern portfolio theory, and web development using Angular, TypeScript and Java. Its digital banking services run on the Avaloq core banking platform, which underpins LGT's private banking operations. The group is organised around two divisions: LGT Private Banking, which serves wealthy clients globally, and LGT Capital Partners, an asset management business run as an independent company within the group.

LGT is owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein; the Foundation Board is chaired by H.S.H. Prince Max von und zu Liechtenstein. The ownership structure allows long-term strategic decisions without quarterly earnings pressure, and the group emphasises values and traditions alongside innovation. Its investment approach includes a commitment to sustainability aligned with the Paris Climate Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and it has been recognised as the World's Best Pure Play/Boutique Private Bank as well as for ESG and sustainable investing.
