OpenFX provides cross-border payment infrastructure for institutions, using proprietary routing and blockchain rails to settle in over 40 currencies and stablecoins.
OpenFX is a cross-border payment infrastructure provider founded in 2025 by Prabhakar Reddy, a serial entrepreneur and former co-founder of FalconX who previously worked as a venture capitalist at Accel. The company emerged from an 18-month period of stealth development, engineering-led in character, and combines the reliability associated with traditional finance with the speed and programmability of blockchain rails. It processes billions of dollars in annualized payment volume.
The firm's platform is designed for remittance companies, fintechs, payment processors, digital banks, brokers and investment platforms seeking to move money internationally. Its proprietary routing technology bypasses the correspondent banking system, allowing settlements in seconds rather than days and cutting costs from percentage points to basis points. Ninety per cent of trades settle within 60 minutes, and costs are up to 90% lower than those of traditional FX providers.
OpenFX supports more than 40 currencies, including major G20 pairs and emerging-market currencies, alongside stablecoin settlement in USDC and USDT. Technical work spans FX and currency conversion, liquidity management and programmable settlement. The company has a presence in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, the United Arab Emirates and India, with activity in additional markets beyond.
